BRUNOX® Epoxy Rust Stop

Patented rust converter and primer in one

BRUNOX® Epoxy® Rust Stop forms an organometallic iron complex with iron and rust. This results in a black, extremely compact and durable protective layer that provides long-term corrosion protection, while also acting as a fully-fledged primer, thanks to the addition of epoxy resin.

Epoxy Primer

BRUNOX Epoxy Primer is a rust treatment and primer in one product compatible with 2K epoxy topcoats.

Because BRUNOX Epoxy is compatible with all automotive topcoats (acrylics and two pack paints) it is the perfect auto body epoxy primer.

BRUNOX is also compatible with 2K epoxy primer fillers. After rust treatment with BRUNOX, sealers and fillers can be directly applied. It is a versatile product ideal for car restorations and repairs where rust has attacked the base metal.

Applying BRUNOX Epoxy Primer is simple

BRUNOX can be brushed, rolled or sprayed onto the affected surface. No matter how it is applied it dries flat and without any visible brush marks. Before application, BRUNOX is a lacquer-coloured liquid. After 2 hours of drying, it turns black.

24 hours is needed before applying either fillers or topcoats.

A primer is not needed before applying the topcoat, BRUNOX Epoxy Primer is a rust treatment and primer in one product.

BRUNOX Epoxy Primer has superior rust treatment properties. BRUNOX attaches to and neutralises rust, forming an organo-metallic iron compound. The resulting black layer prevents further corrosion and forms the base for applying topcoats.

BRUNOX Epoxy is equivalent to an etch primer performing the same purpose but without the inconvenience.

Unlike other rust treatments, BRUNOX doesn’t require washing down to remove free acids. After application and curing, BRUNOX requires no further treatment and is ready for the topcoat.
