Tredgrip Primer Water Based for Non Slip Coating 10 Litres
TREDPRIME is a penetrating primer tie coat or sealer to be applied on a variety of surfaces to provide a sound surface for painting with waterborne topcoats.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Tredprime can be used on:
Old painted chalky surfaces.
New and old masonry surfaces.
Fibre cement.
Sealer for marble, granite and concrete.
Vinyl based surfaces to prevent plasticizer migration.
Surfaces where stains may migrate.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Vehicle Type : Acrylic Resin. Finish : Gloss.
Colour : Clear.
Dry time : Touch dry 10-15mins @ 25ºC (minimum) Dry to handle 30mins @ 25ºC Recoat time : May be coated after approximately 30 mins. (minimum)
Theoretical Coverage : 5m²/L @ 15 – 20 microns DFT. 200 microns WFT. Volume Solids : 10% by weight. Usual no. of coats : One.
Bacterial Resistance : Excellent.
Thinning and cleaning : No thinner needed.
Clean with Vitrethane 106 Thinners.
Durability : Good. Product weight : 0.85 Kg/L
MERITS:
1. Great penetrating primer and excellent reinforcing effect for concrete and other powdering surfaces.
2. Excellent adhesion with most conventional WB topcoats.
3. Fast dry and easy application.
LIMITATIONS:
1. Designed as a penetrating primer or tiecoat with low solid content.
2. When topcoated with two pack coatings adhesion must be carefully checked.
3. Contains solvents as well as water.
APPLICATION DATA Mixing : Stir thoroughly before use.
Equipment : Air atomisation, airless spray, brush or roller.
